Goals

To assist each business/management school in reviewing the quality of their academic programs, including assessment of educational goals, development strategies, degree curricula, operational system and performance of the degree programs, so as to provide an educational benchmark for quality improvement and assurance. 。

To assure the public of the quality of business/management education, assist every program in pursuing viable and continuous improvement in the professional quality of their business/management education, and establish a system of quality assurance and accreditation in business/management education.
Applicants
-
The applicants located within Taiwan, must be a business/management School or College acknowledged by Ministry of Education in Taiwan.

The applicants located outside of Taiwan, must be a chartered business/management School or College with classes taught primarily in Chinese.

Under certain circumstances, business/management academic unit(s) or degree program(s), rather than the institution as a whole, might be eligible for review and accreditation.
Features and Advantages
ACCSB examines the structure and mechanism of quality assurance (QA) system in each program, while also reviewing the feasibility and clarity of each program's goals. ACCSB assist business/management school and departments build an effective QA system while enhancing their quality of education
ACCSB reviews the adequacy and logical relationship between program’s goals, strategies, action plans and key performance indicator (KPI). ACCSB also take a systemic approach when examining a program, assessing all dimensions of higher education including the student requirements, formal and informal courses, faculty development, research, industry services, administrative support, community and international partnerships service.
Mentoring professors will provide instant, long-term consultation to the applicant. The applicants have the advantage of receiving recommendations from ACCSB for further development and improvement. The recommendations will be in sync with the local cultural context and local regulations, thus the applicants do not need to make different cultural adaptations in implementing these recommendations. The applicant afford lower cost as they no longer need to create a Chinese translation of an accreditation document, nor create English translations of documents required for accreditation.
Accreditation Process
ACCSB Working Committee determines the appropriate scope of accreditation and reviews the applicant’s eligibility.
After the applicant undergoes the accreditation review process, it will go through evaluations across five stages:
(1) Mentoring professors visit and provide suggestions to the applying institution.
(2) The applicant must submit a written, self-assessment report to ACCSB.
(3) ACCSB Project Team conducts an on-site evaluation of the institution, examining its programs and associated infrastructures.
(4) ACCSB Working Committee providesthe applicant with further notes and suggestions in an additional evaluation.
(5) ACCSB Steering Committee makes a decision on the length of accreditation period.

Phase 4:Re-certification Review
Certified applicants receive the accreditation for a certain period. They may apply for re-accreditation once the accreditation term comes to an end. The re-certification procedure is identical to that of the first-time review process, sans the visit from mentoring professors (i.e. follow the stages (2) to (5) of Phase 2).
