1973

Firstly proposed and planned in the beginning of 1973, our institute aims to develop management science and management technology. After being approved by the Ministry of the Interior, our institute was officially established on July 27th, 1973.
During the initial establishment stage, academic research is the focal point. Located at National Science Museum on Nan-hai Road in Taipei City, our institute is composed of more than 400 members including people engaged in management-related jobs in domestic academic or/and business fields.

1977
|
In 1977, our institute moved to Guo-hua Building on Bo-ai Road in Taipei City. In 1983, after setting up the “Chinese Management Science research Foundation”, we started to raise funds to purchase the current institute.

1984
|
On July 15th, 1984, the Kaohsiung branch was established to serve our members in southern district.

1985
|
In May, 1985, owing to its achievement of promoting management level in our country, our institute was awarded “1984 National Social Work Overall Evaluation, Outstanding” by the Ministry of Interior.

1988
|
In 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, and 1994, our institute was awarded the above-mentioned honor; in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2008, our institute was awarded “National Social Work Evaluation, Grade-A”.

1993
|
In 1993, our institute was awarded “1993 Social Education Group for Meritorious Service” by the Ministry of Education.

1996
|
In 1996, the “Journal of Management” published by our institute was awarded “Highly Recommended Journal Award” by National Science Council and was awarded “Excellent Journal Award” from 1998 to 2003; in 2004, our institute was awarded “Outstanding Journal Award”.

1998
|
The Journal of Management won the “Excellent Journal Award” in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003.

2001
|
In 2001, our institute passed ISO 9001:2000 international certification.

2002
|
In 2002, 2004, and 2005, our institute was respectively awarded the 4th, the 5th, and the 6th “Cultural and Educational Exchange with Mainland China Group Award, Grade-A” by the Mainland Affairs Council.

2003
|
CMA was ranked Grade A in the performance evaluation of national social in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2008.
|
2004
|
The Journal of Management won the “Outstanding Journal Award” in 2004.
|
2012
|
Recognized by the Ministry of Education as a “Domestic Professional Accreditation Institution” in 2012.
|
Until now, there have been approximately 1500 members. Thanks to the cooperation and support of all the members along with the devotion of successive presidents, secretary-general, and the committee members, our institute can be well operated and organized.
Mr. Xu Li-De, Mr. Wang Jian-Xuan, Mr. Xu Shi-Jun, and Mr. Liu Shui-Shen are invited to serve as honorary presidents to help pass down predecessors’ experiences and maintain the development of institutional affairs.
